Statement of Principle
To accomplish its purpose, Mercy Community Crisis Pregnancy Center shall operate by the following principles:
- Mercy Community Crisis Pregnancy Center is an outreach ministry and is committed to presenting the Gospel to those involved in crisis pregnancies, both in word and in deed. Those who volunteer must know Christ as their Savior and be committed to personal time with the Lord each day.
- MCCPC is committed to providing clients with accurate information about fetal development, abortion alternatives, sexually transmitted diseases, and the benefits of sexual abstinence until marriage.
- MCCPC denounces any form of deception in its corporate advertising or individual conversations with clients.
- MCCPC is committed to supporting women through their pregnancies and beyond by providing emotional support and practical assistance.
- MCCPC will not discriminate in providing services based on race, religion, nation of origin, age, or marital status. Each client is worthy and will continue to receive support from Mercy regardless of the decision she makes.
- MCCPC never advises, provides or refers for abortion or abortifacients.
- MCCPC offers all services free of charge.
- MCCPC is committed to creating awareness in the local community of the needs of pregnant women in crisis.
- MCCPC is committed to promoting the Biblical standard and blessing of sex within marriage. The Biblical definition of marriage is between one man and one woman. God created two genders – male and female. (Gen. 1)
- MCCPC does not recommend or refer for contraceptives or contraceptive services.
- MCCPC believes that adoption is a wonderful option to abortion. Mercy will present adoption as an option but will not facilitate the adoption process. Mercy will refer clients to vetted adoption agencies, but it is the client’s responsibility to contact and communicate with the agency. Mercy is independent of any adoption agency, relating to them in the same manner as other helpful referral sources. Mercy does not receive payment from adoption agencies, enter into contractual relationships with them, or share office space.
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21 - We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14; John 14:10, 26 - We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. In His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; Acts 1:9 – 10, 2:16 – 39; Romans 3:24 – 25, 8:34; Hebrews 7:25, 9:24; I John 2:1 – 2 - We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works.
Genesis 3:1 – 19; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8 – 10 - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works.
John 16:8 – 14; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12 – 14; II Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 1:13 – 14 - We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Matthew 25:46; John 5:28 – 29, 11:25-26; Revelation 20:5 – 6, 12 – 13 - We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
I Corinthians 12:12 – 14; II Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22 – 23, 5:25 – 27 - We believe that all human life from conception is created by God and is, therefore sacred and to be protected.
Jeremiah 1:5 - We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.
Genesis 2:24; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22 – 23 - We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of marriage. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, sex before
marriage, adultery, and pornography, etc. are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex.
Leviticus 18:6 – 24; Romans 1:18 – 32
